            If you're like me and you love chocolate this recipe is perfect for you. This recipes makes amazing brownies with a rich chocolate taste. I made these one day, and by the next day they were gone! This recipe is relatively easy and you get a delicious outcome. 




Brownies

Prep time: 20 minutes  
Cook time: 30 minutes
Makes: 16 brownies

            Ingredients

Butter, for greasing the pan
1 cup chocolate chips
1/2 cup (one stick) butter
1/3 cup all-purpose flour
3/4 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon table salt
1/2 cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup chopped pecan or walnuts (see note)

                                                                       Directions


  1.  Preheat the oven to 350 degrees and lightly grease an 8 inch baking pan.
  2.  In the top of a double boiler, (see note) combine chocolate chips and the butter.
  3.  Place over boiling water, then reduce the heat to low.
  4.  Stir constantly until the chocolate and  butter are melted and smooth.
  5.  Remove from heat and let cool completely. 
  6. In a small bowl, stir flour,  baking powder, and salt. 
  7. In a medium bowl, whisk together sugar, eggs, and vanilla until well blended. 
  8. Slowly whisk the chocolate mixture into the egg mixture until well blended, then stir in the flour mixture until just combined and add in the nuts. 
  9. Pour the batter into the baking pan and spread it evenly.  
  10. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until almost set in the middle. 
  11. Cool completely before cutting into bars. After that, enjoy!                                                                                              

Notes  

You don't have to put nuts in, but personally, I don't like nuts in my brownies. Also, you can melt your butter and chocolate in the microwave separately, then mix them together I found that a lot easier. Another thing, don't be alarmed if your brownies sink, because that's  normal for brownies.
